Honda adds Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

Exciting news! Honda has announced that it is now offering a feature upgrade to enable wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in 2018-2022 Accord models that were originally equipped with wired-only.

The upgrade can be installed at any authorized Honda dealer at a cost of $112 plus any dealer labor charges. What's even better is that Accord models that are sold as Honda Certified Pre-Owned vehicles can be upgraded at no additional charge.

Can we hope for this feature to be added to the FK8 Civic Type R? It looks promising that it can be done; especially since it's part of Honda's initiative for sustainability by maximizing the lifetime value of in-market vehicles.
